When you call at our clinic or come to the studio, Greti, our kind and always smiling receptionist, will welcome you. She’s the person who’s responsible for scheduling patients’ appointments and organizing the doctors’ work schedule. She will make a file and fill in your personal data. She will ask you to fill in a questionary regarding your health – past and present diseases, medications that you take at the moment, habits and general health condition. All examination and treatment appointments are strictly scheduled so that you don’t have to wait. We value your and our time. If you are a new patient for the clinic, we’ll make a detailed examination of the whole mouth during your first appointment, radiographic and photo pictures; we’ll make a dental file for your oral health. All doctors together discuss every patient’s dental file and make a decision for the treatment options. During your second visit to the clinic, we make additional examination if needed and present to you the possible treatment options with all the positive and negative outcomes of each one of them. After you choose a treatment plan, we make the financial plan, discuss the payment options and schedule the appointments. We make two copies of your printed treatment and financial plan – one is for you, one is signed by you and kept in your dental file. Before beginning any kind of treatment all patients should have an oral hygiene procedure. It includes calculus removal from all teeth with an ultrasonic device, removal of the plaque and staining and polishing of all teeth. This procedure aims at a mechanical removal of the bacterial biofilm and provides a favourable environment for performing the other manipulations without the risk of inflammation and complications. The cleaning and removal of calculus and plaque is not a cosmetic procedure. It is a prophylaxis of gum diseases and in cases of periodontitis it has a favourable effect for preventing from further bone loss.
